USA Secures Super Eight Spot for Direct Qualification

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the qualification process for the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The tenth edition of the tournament will feature 20 teams, with 12 automatic qualifiers and eight teams qualifying through regional pathway events.

Teams that secure a place in the Super Eight stage of the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup will automatically qualify for the 2026 edition. The United States of America (USA) has already secured its spot by reaching the Super Eight in the ongoing 2023 tournament.

The remaining eight teams will qualify through regional pathway events, which will be determined by the ICC in due course. These events will provide opportunities for teams from all over the world to compete for a place in the T20 World Cup.
